On May 15, 2025, the New York State Public Service Commission issued the Order for Authorizing Non-Low-to-Moderate Income Energy Efficiency and Building Electrification Portfolios for 2026-2030. This Order directs utilities and program administrators to align incentive programs with the state’s climate and decarbonization goals.
As a result, effective January 1, 2026, incentives for gas-fired appliances will no longer be available for equipment installation or replacement.
